Children 0-6 months must be secured in an approved rearward facing baby car seats
Children that are six months to under four years old are required to be in either a rear or forward facing approved child car restraints with built-in harness.
Children aged 4 to 7 years old must be secured in a forward facing approved child car restraints with built-in harness or approved booster seat.
Children aged from seven to under 16 years who are too small to be properly secured by a seatbelt are recommended to use an approved booster seat.
Children that are too small for specified child car restraints suited for their age must be kept in their current child restraint until it is safe for them to use age-appropriate child restraints. Likewise, a child that is too large for a child car restraint specified for their age can move to the next level of child restraint.
